• Jack V. Olmstead, President

 

Jack Olmstead received his B.A. in Biology from California State University, Long Beach.  He received his M.A. in Biology (emphasis in Entomology) from California State University, Long Beach. His master’s thesis was a taxonomic study of the spider genus Syspira.  Prior to becoming President of Plant-Tek, Inc., Jack worked for State of California, Dept of Agriculture, as an inspector. He also worked for the U.S. Army as a civilian entomologist and for the County of San Bernardino as a Registered Sanitarian and County Entomologist.  Jack holds a State of California Qualified Applicator License (QAL) and is also a State of California licensed Agricultural Pest Control Adviser.

 

  • Hilary Ridgway, Vice-President

    

Hilary Ridgway received her B.S. in Biology from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland. Hilary has worked behind the scenes at Plant-Tek, Inc. running the office’s day to day business.

 
Continuing Education 
Continuing education is required for renewal of Qualified Applicator Licenses and Agricultural Pest Control Adviser Licenses.   Qualified Applicator Licenses require 20 hours of continuing education every 2 years to renew. Agricultural Pest Control Adviser Licenses require 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years to renew. We ensure that our technicians are up to date on their licenses.
 

 

Plant-Tek, Inc has grown from an owner-operator company, when it began in 1981, to having a fleet of six trucks. Our technicians enjoy talking to our customers about their landscape maintenance needs.
